There were about four times as many chances of having a reading or a learning disability if the child had an MRI scan in the toddler years compared with those who did not have one. The study also showed that the children who were diagnosed with ADD or ADHD were more likely to be showing abnormal neural connections compared with those who did not have the disorder.
Children who are having a difficult time learning normal language skills and developing academic excellence in school tend to suffer from the problem of delayed brain development.
